This website is for individuals with acne on the face and upper trunk who may be interested in participating in our medical research study. The purpose of this medical research study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational cream medication for acne vulgaris occurring on the face and upper trunk, or torso.
Acne vulgaris is characterized by lesions on the skin, including blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules and nodules. The number and types of lesions determines the severity of the acne.
Acne is more than just a nuisance. In fact, acne can cause both physical and emotional problems that may last longer and have a greater impact than the acne itself.
This is one of the reasons why finding new and better treatments for acne through medical research is important. Medical research allows doctors to find new information that could help understand and improve medications. To conduct medical research, we need the help of volunteers who wish to participate.
